Multiple Sites within the same Location

Signing your workers in and out of site will work differently if you add subsites to your Site.

If you are ONLY using Sites and NO subsites, then signing in and out of site will work as normal either through the GPS geofence or the QR Code

If you are adding subsites to a Site then there are two recommended ways that you can set this up:

  1. GPS Geofence or set up a Sign in/Sign Out QR Code for the entire site, which your workers will sign in and out through.  You can then set up a Location QR code for the subsites , which records where that person is located within the Site (the user only needs to scan the Location QR code once to record their location).  The Location QR code is NOT a sign in and out method, it is purely to locate which site the person is on within the Site.

This option allows your workers to sign in and out of your entire Site but still be able to see what subsite within that Site they were working on.

2. Do NOT GPS geofence or set up sign in/out QR codes for the Site and instead set up sign in/out QR codes for each subsite.  By doing it this way, you are not tracking the sign in and outs for the Site as a whole and are only tracking the sign in/outs for each subsite.

Please note that the Site that the subsite relates to will still be visible to you when viewing a sign in record from your dashboard

Enable/Disable Auto Site Sign-out

If you have subsites within a Site you can select whether or not the user stays signed into the main site or is signed out of the main site when scanning the QR code for a subsite.  This only applies to sign in/out QR codes not location QR codes.

To access this setting go the Details tab of your Site and click on the Settings menu.

If you want a user to stay signed into the main site as well as the subsite when scanning the QR code for a subsite then you would enable this option.  If you want them to be signed out of the main site then you would disable this option.
