What are sign-in and inductions in SiteConnect?
Track who is on site and confirm they've read what they need to know before they start work.
SiteConnect records who is on and off each site and makes sure they've acknowledged the right safety information first. Sign-in covers how that attendance record is recorded.
Inductions cover the material someone has to read and confirm — and SiteConnect uses that word for more than one thing, covered below.

Ways to sign in to a site (H3)
Workers can sign in to a site using any of the methods enabled for that site:
- Geofence: The Mobile App signs the worker in or out automatically when they cross the site boundary.
- QR code: The worker scans the site’s QR code using the Mobile App or their phone’s camera.
- Kiosk: The worker signs in using a shared tablet, usually located at the site entrance.
- Manual GPS sign-in: The worker opens the site’s Noticeboard in the Mobile App and signs in manually.
A site can use several sign-in methods at the same time, allowing workers to use the method that best suits them.
Understand the induction and Noticeboard options
SiteConnect provides Account Inductions and Site Inductions. The Site Noticeboard is a separate feature.
Account Inductions
An Account Induction is a company-wide course built using modules, content and questions. It is assigned to your connected network, including contractor employees, and each person’s progress is recorded as Not Started, In Progress or Completed.
Site Inductions
A Site Induction contains information and questions relevant to a particular site. It is created in Forms by selecting Site Induction as the form type and can be assigned manually or automatically when someone signs in to the site for the first time.
Site Noticeboard
The Site Noticeboard displays site-specific information whenever someone signs in, regardless of the method used. Workers acknowledge the noticeboard and its listed risks and controls as part of signing in.
Where to go next
Set up geofencing from a site's Settings tab, turn on manual sign-in for the account, and set up a kiosk on the tablet itself. Set up account inductions from Inductions in the left navigation.
