How to Use the GPS Sign-In Button on the Site Details tab

Use GPS sign-in to quickly check into a site—even without entering the geofence.

 

Manually GPS Sign in is only available if the Account Holder has enabled this option. Please contact your Administrator if not available.

Steps:

  1. Open the SiteConnect Mobile App.

  2. Tap the Sites tab at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Select your site to open its Details tab.

  4. Tap the GPS Sign-In button.

 

How it works:

  • Sends your location and site ID to our system.

  • If you're within 1 km of the site, you’re signed in silently.

  • If you're outside 1 km, site admins receive an alert.

Tip: You can also tap the Map Pin to view the site geofence.

Geofencing App Reminders

Here’s a quick recap of how geofencing works best:

  • Allow location access at all times.

  • Allow motion/fitness permissions for better battery life.

  • The inner polygon geofence = Sign-In Zone.

  • The outer circular geofence = Sign-Out Zone.

  • Proximity alerts still work without a geofence if the site has a valid address.
