[Documents](https://docs.sitesoft.com/employees?hsLang=en#documents) # How to Add Training & Competency Documents to an Employee (Web Portal) ## Keeping employee qualifications and training records up to date is essential for compliance, auditing, and ensuring workers have uninterrupted access to site. You can upload all required documents directly to each employee’s profile in the SiteConnect web portal. ### **Steps to Upload Training / Competency Documents** 1. **Open the Employees tab** Navigate to the *Employees* section in your SiteConnect web portal. 2. **Select the employee** Click **Edit** to the right of the worker whose records you want to update. 3. Open the **Training/Competencies** tab in the right hand menu within their profile. 4. **Public** – Visible to site managers and administrators (recommended for compliance). - **Group** – Visible to your company and associated groups. - **Private** – *Only the uploader can see the document.* > Note: Selecting **Private** will prevent site teams from viewing the worker’s training records, which may cause access delays > > ![](https://docs.sitesoft.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jul-22-2026-04-30-59-6468-AM.png?width=1192&height=441&name=image-png-Jul-22-2026-04-30-59-6468-AM.png) 2. **Save the changes** Click **Save** to update the employee’s profile. **What Happens Next?** Once documents are uploaded, SiteConnect automatically manages expiry reminders to help keep your records compliant. ### **Automated Reminder Emails Are Sent:** -
